BHS Parking Permit Application Process 2024-2025
- We will not issue permits via a “first come, first served” basis during the initial application window. The current window for applying will remain open until 5:00pm on August 2nd, 2024. We will then prioritize applications based on the following criteria:
- Carpool drivers
- Running Start/WaNic students (Confirmed prior to receipt of permit)
- Seniors
- Juniors
- Sophomores (Only after September 3rd, 2024)
- We understand that Sophomore students are typically very excited when they receive their license and can start driving themselves. However, by the time most Sophomores get their license, there are no permits available. Given that we do not have the capability to create more parking spaces, if you start driving after the start of the school year, it is unlikely that we will have any permits available for you to purchase.
Please note that any students without a parking permit by the start of the school year should not have any expectation that they will be able to park on campus during the 2024-2025 school year.
- Historically, we have been able to issue permits to all Carpool, Running Start/WaNic and Senior students. However, we do occasionally have some Junior students that do not receive a parking permit. Should the issue arise where we have more Junior applicants than permits available, you will be added to the waitlist.
- Carpool riders must be enrolled at BHS. This is required due to the school’s agreement and conditional use permit with the City of Bellevue.
- If a student is part of a carpool, they will not be eligible for a single-driver parking pass.
- Turning in an application, does not guarantee the student a parking spot. Parking spots will be given according to the process outlined above.
- All applications must be submitted to the online portal during the designated dates. No paper, e-mail, or faxed applications.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Complete applications include: a completed online application form, a copy of a current vehicle insurance card, a copy of the student’s intermediate driver’s license, and initial that the Parking Policy has been read. Payment will be collected once permits are awarded. Please continue to check your school email to confirm your application process has been completed correctly.
- Students must have a valid driver’s license. No applications will be accepted from students who are 15 and turning 16 during the fall. Carpool drivers must meet the 6-month state requirement for driving with passengers. Driving with siblings will qualify for a carpool. Sibling(s) must attend BHS.
When a parking pass is issued, the student/family will receive an e-mail indicating they have been approved for a parking pass and that the pass will be ready for pick up after the $100 fee is paid. Payments can be made online ONLY https://wa-bellevue.intouchreceipting.com/ Students must pay all outstanding fines and fees BEFORE they can obtain the parking permit.
- Students have until the end of the school day on September 9th, 2024, to pick up their parking permit. If it is not picked up by this date, it will be released and assigned to a student on the waiting list.
- Student parking areas are open to all students with a valid parking permit. During the hours 6:30 am – 4:00 pm staff, visitor and reserved spaces are off limits to students. Reserved parking is always off limits and will result in an immediate ticket.
