Sharing Our Stories

Hear from our learning community who share their thoughts on leading, learning and playing at Bellevue High School.

Vic Anderson, Principal

"Bellevue has become one of the leading hubs of technology and industry in the Pacific Northwest and beyond over the last several decades. We've grown into a diverse population with an international flair, and this is one opportunity to open our doors and tell the story of Bellevue High School and the community that supports public education and our youth with unflinching commitment and dedication."

Superintendent Dr. Kelly Aramaki

"Bellevue High School has been educating high school students, including my grandfather, who graduated from Bellevue High in 1931. We are in a region where members of the Duwamish and Snoqualmie tribes hunted and fished, European settlers mined for coal and logged, and Japanese immigrants farmed and raised produce. Now a global hub of innovation, technology, and business, welcoming people from around the world, Bellevue has been called home to many, across all interests and industries.”

Maria Barrios, BSD Parent and BSF Trustee

The youth mental health crisis in America awakened me to take action, not to cower in fear. Research shows that early intervention and treatment can make a difference for our young people. That’s why I’m on a mission to support and bring the best mental health support for our kids through the Bellevue Schools Foundation. They deserve a chance to thrive and succeed and they need to know they are not alone.”
