Transportation and Parking

•  A permit is required to park on Bellevue School District Properties
• The school district and high school assume no liability for theft, damage, or loss to vehicles parked on campus
• All drivers park at their own risk
• Vehicles must be operated safely and legally at all times
• Vehicles blocking fire lanes, emergency access, bus zones, delivery areas, or restricted zones may be towed immediately and/or fined
• School administrators may request to search vehicles parked on campus
• Vehicles are subject to random canine sweeps for illegal substances

• Standard parking permit: $100 per school year
• Free/Reduced Lunch students: $50 (contact the Parking Specialist)
• All outstanding school fees and parking fines must be paid before a permit can be issued (including previous years)

Parking on campus is a privilege, not a right, and availability is limited.

Who Can Apply

• ONLY Juniors and Seniors may apply for
• Priority is given in this order:
  1. Junior/Senior Carpools
  2. WANIC/Running Start
  3. Seniors
  4. Juniors

Submitting an application does not guarantee a permit.

To be eligible for a parking permit, students must:

• Hold Junior or Senior standing for the following school year at the time of initial application window June-August
• Have a valid driver’s license and valid vehicle insurance
• Be clear of all school-related fines and fees
• Complete the online parking application, confirming that both student and parent/guardian have reviewed all policies and expectations

Students who obtain a license after permits are sold out may request placement on the waitlist. Waitlist placement does not allow parking on campus. Waitlist is processed on order received

Permit Guidelines

• Student parking areas are open 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM with a valid permit
• Vehicles must display the valid permit at all times
• Parking without a permit may result in citations or towing
• Running Start and WANIC students:
  • Bellevue students must have a permit to park
  • Non-Bellevue WANIC students may park after completing the application and showing a home-school permit to the Parking Specialist

Lost parking tags will not be replaced.

Each citation carries a $30 fine. Repeated or unpaid violations may result in permit suspension or towing.

Immediate Tow (No Warning)

Parking at any time in:

• Fire lanes
• Bus zones
• Handicap spaces
• Reserved spaces

Improper Parking

• Over the line
• Blocking access
• Parking on grass
• Staff parking
• Visitor parking
• Not parked within designated lines

Moving Violations

• Speeding
• Unsafe or reckless driving
• Running stop signs
• Misuse of a vehicle (e.g., donuts, sidewalks, cutting off pedestrians or vehicles)

Tickets issued for these violations will not be rescinded.

Additional Enforcement Rules

1. Permits must be clearly visible
2. Falsifying, lending, selling, or using another student’s permit may result in immediate revocation
3. Parking tickets must be disputed within five (5) school days with the parking supervisor
4. Students without permits who receive three or more violations will be issued a tow warning
5. All fines and fees must be paid by the end of each quarter or permits may be suspended
6. Repeated tardiness may result in loss of parking privileges
7. Phones must be away when driving and use of self-driving features are prohibited on campus

No refunds are issued if a permit is suspended.
